Forbes has come out with its ranking of the best international MBA programs, with a special focus on return on investment. Although fast-track MBAs are growing in popularity in the U.S., there are many elite one-year programs in Europe that can help students recoup their investment in a degree in less than three years, Forbes reports.

The No. 1 b-school outside the U.S. for ROI, Forbes found, is IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland. ROI was calculated by comparing the MBA graduate’s net gain in earnings five years after earning their degree with what they would have made by staying in their pre-MBA career. IMD, a one-year program, has a “5-year MBA gain” of $230,000, according to Forbes. The 5-year MBA gain at Harvard, the U.S.’ top-ranked business school and a two-year program, is $118,000.
