Oklahoma's business climate measures up well when compared to the rest of the nation. The state's unemployment rate in 2011 was well below the national average, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (bls.gov), and CNBC's Best States for Business in 2011 ranked Oklahoma in the top 10 for cost of doing business, economy and cost of living.

The state has a strong manufacturing sector.
