Business School Students to Meet with Warren Buffett
Warren Buffett, chair and chief executive officer of Berkshire Hathaway, will host a lunch with MBA students from universities across the country on October 21. MBA students from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, the University of Denver, Pepperdine University, Villanova University, the University of South Dakota, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison were selected to participate.
An Opportunity of a Lifetime for Business School Students
Each year, Buffett hosts four luncheons for business school students. Twenty-four schools from across the country are invited to send students to meet with and learn from Buffett. For the October 21 meeting, students will tour Nebraska Furniture Mart, a Berkshire Hathaway subsidiary, and largest home-furnishing store in North America.
The students will have a two hour meeting with Buffett at his office where they can ask him questions about investing or other topics. Next, students will have the opportunity to have lunch with Buffett as his favorite Omaha steakhouse, Picollo Pete's.
Says Dan Walker, a student and lead organizer at the University of Wisconsin-Madinson, "Lots of philanthropists give of their money, but [Buffett] gives of his time as well."
